A Dogs Life!

This is not a post about me!!! It's all about my favorite pooch Lucy!!! Well, this week I took off 4 days of work to get some rest and relaxation! Well, if that's possible when you have a list a mile long of things to do! When ever I am off I try and do something with my dog Lucy... It could be a walk or a ride in the car. Ronnie and I are not home as much as we should be! When I see her little mug look up at me when I leave a feel a bit guilty! So, we planned on having our carpets cleaned this weekend which meant Lucy needs a bath too! Everything CLEAN!!! The carpet looks great and Lucy enjoyed running like a crazy dog through the house with no furniture! Then the next day we were off to Groomingdales ( yes, it's really called that!) We usually give Lucy her bath... but, this time we decided let her get pampered! Then I would take her to Pet Smart with me as I needed to make a trip and she hadn't been with me since she was a puppy! She was such a good dog and it was so funny to see how afraid she was of the sliding doors! Anyways, the picture posted above is her knocked out from her busy schedule! I love this little mutt! ( I can say that cause she really is!) Until Sunday when she dumped her food outside and dragged her new bowl along the brick wall??? WHY??? Then I have to clean up the food and she is trying to eat the food as I put it in the dust pan? So, after being woke up by her loud banging outside i sat on the couch for my coffee and got her to eat! ( ya, inside on the clean carpet.... my husband would kill me!) See, she is not allowed on the couch or upstairs.... So, I'm drinking my coffee just sitting on the couch and she thinks she should be just like me and jump on the couch and just RELAX! Needless to say she is sitting next to me now upstairs!!! I wish I had half the life my little Lucy has! She is spoiled ROTTEN!!!

Nothing to exciting to post! just wanted to say Happy Easter to everyone! This year was very quiet for us... usually we have a big dinner at my parents house. This year we took my Dad out to dinner because my Mom is still sick in the hospital. We also went to my in laws house for a wonderful lunch! We ate allot... but, it was all so GOOD! We are very blessed to have the family that we have and how close we are :)
One more holiday down... what's next! LOL!!!

My Running Gear!!!

Yes, that would be the reaction I am getting from everyone when I tell them that I am trying to train to run a 13 mile marathon!!!! Some how I got myself into this mess!!! My friend Jessi is an avid runner... and when I say avid I mean CRAZY runner! Her and some friends are going to do the 13 mile marathon in Disneyland... So, I originally agreed to just go and watch... you know Disneyland is one of my most favorite places on earth!!! and some how some way I am now running!!! What??? I know are you crazy? are you serious? Why would someone choose to do this and torture yourself if you don't have to? I ask myself this every time I hit the running trail! Well, I have completed my 2nd week... and I HATE it!!! Well, the shin splints were killing me and then I got he 5:30am wake up call of leg cramps that lasted for DAYS! I am a little excited ( I wont admit that anywhere else but here!!) if I can complete this goal and accomplish somethin major I will be so incredibly proud of myself. I have captain Jessi pushing me and my wonderful husband who goes to the gym with me! I just don't get how natural it looks when he runs? I almost think he enjoys it!!! So, a reason to shop...I went and got some new running shoes! to help with the shin splints! and yes they helped... ( and I also got another pair of new shoes on that shopping spree! Can't complain!!!) some snazzy running socks, an armband for my ipod and for Valentines day Ronnie had gotten me some new earphone for my ipod... so I have it all???? To make this 13 mile journey easy RIGHT???? Oh, and a running book too! ( Yes, all my tools in the above picture!!!) But, I have been a little lazy this week... There is just not enough time in the day to get everything done and run... so I have been bad this week... So, It's Sunday and I should go RUN! RIGHT! Well, I did get a really nice pedicure today... I don't want to mess it up!!!

Hobby?

Ok, so I have been thinking I need a hobby???? Really... I feel like all I ever do is work? I know I am very grateful for my job... but I am 29 and my life seriously revolves around work. It doesn't help that my husband works for the same company and 98% of our conversations are about that place. (I know sad) So, lately I have really been putting thought into "me", what about me? All my friends seem to have something besides work that describes or even defines them? What about me??? I am still young right??? ( not 30 yet!)I have things that I like to do, like scrap booking, hanging out with family, and most of all shopping. But, I can't always shop! A little too expensive! And these days scrap booking is getting a little costly! I have been putting more effort into cooking, which is turning out pretty good! But, i want something for me! Does anyone out there know what I mean??? I did start to take up swimming a few months back, but I had cut my toe open and I avoided the pool. That was back in November and here it is March! So, should I go back to swimming? I want something to do!!! My husband said if I am not working then I am attached to the computer or the phone dealing with work stuff!? So, here is my pledge to myself to have a hobby, and live life to the fullest! It sounds pretty simple, but it's not :) I hope in my next few blogs I can blog about my new hobby! If you have any suggestions let me know :)

Well, It's March and another b-day! I swear I can remember sitting on the couch just a few months ago writing my first blog of 2009... and now it's March and the middle of it to say the least! This is going to wrap up my b-day blogs! I think!!! this time it was my sisters b-day... She was on spring break ( no break for her, she is getting her PHD at ASU) and came to spend most of it with her family! We started off with air hockey and bowling... Yes, I brought my camera that night but, I forgot to snap some pics??? well, it was cosmic bowling... so I don't think it would turn out to great? Ronnie and Lisa have this weird competitive thing when it comes to air hockey so they had to find out who was king/queen of air hockey???? Well, after like 6 games Ronnie won! Bowling was allot of fun, but made for some sore muscles as I haven't bowled in over a year! We had a b-day dinner for Lisa when her hubby drove in from Phoenix to join in the fun! The night was allot of fun until the next morning I woke up with a nasty cold and it did me in for the week! I am glad to report I am getting better ( Finally!) But, now my sister and Dad are sick... I think we all need some rest!
Although we were sad my Mom could not be with us it was still nice to see the family smile and have a good time. My Mom is starting to get stronger each day and we are all very thankful for the prayers that everyone has been giving. I am so very lucky for the friends and family I have. Words cannot even describe :)

Today was such a nice day! I told Ronnie whatever we did this weekend I really wanted to go to Sunset Park and feed the ducks! It was such a fun day! We went to the park with our bread in hand and had a blast feeding the ducks and watching them swim into a frenzy!!! After working crazy hours this week and going to visit my Mom in the hospital every night I really wanted to do something that consisted of me not having to think or do anything! I think that every one should have a day like this! It was so nice to sit and just relax in the nice weather and walk the park! This has been my goal for a few weeks now... to do something every weekend that is relaxing and your brain doesn't have to work to hard! So feeding the ducks was something I picked! Ronnie picked going to hit golf balls... so I gave in and went with him! That's what marriage is ALL about right??? We had a really good day with each other and we had a blast doing nothing that did not cost anything!!! Even better, I didn't have to throw away any bread this week that we didn't use :)

Ronnie's Birthday!

Well, Like I said on my Valentines Day post I had to get ready for Ronnie's B-day! IT it came sooo fast as I thought it would! Every year we always take a couple of days off from work and hang out with each other and just relax! I started this tradition our first year together with my birthday! We always make birthdays a big to-do! It's always FUN and a little expensive! Ronnie golfed almost every day he was off! Then we went to dinner on Saturday night with Ronnie's best friend and his wife at Geisha Japanese Steak House ( If you haven't been there I highly recommend it!) Then we went to the Red Rock for a drink and danced a little bit! My biggest issue with Ronnie's birthday is what to get him? If he ever wants anything he just goes out and buys IT! So annoying! I racked my brain for days and days! I went from getting a blue ray dvd player ( that ended after I attempted to buy it and I didn't know enough info about our tv!) Then I thought a play station 3... UMMMM NO... $400 and he got a Wii for Christmas! So, I know he has been wanting a bike to ride on the trail by our house... So, that's what he is getting! We haven't gotten them yet! ( yes, I am getting one too!) We haven't had a chance to go look... It's on the agenda for today! So, overall he said he had a great birthday! Now, onto my sisters birthday in March!

Happy Valentines Day!

I cannot believe that Valentines Day has come and gone!!! Not that I miss it or anything... But, seriously where does the time go? This now means I have less than one week to plan Ronnie's birthday! That's why every year I cringe when V-Day is over... That means I have to get to planning his big day!
This year Valentines Day was low key and very nice! I woke up to pretty pink roses and a beautiful card! I then had to run out and pick up the last few pieces of my gift for Ronnie! We then went and had a light lunch ( because dinner was going to be so filling!) and then I was off to get my Valentines Day pedicure and do some shopping! We then went to dinner at Lawrys and ate way to MUCH! That is our one of our most favorite restaurants and we both really enjoyed the evening! I am posting some pictures of my pretty pink roses! The gift I made for Ronnie... ( he is a golf fanatic! All his gifts had a golf theme!) and a picture of us! I hope everyone had a great V-Day! Here's to a week of planning for Ronnie's B-day!

Having Fun!

I know I haven't had a post in almost a month... But, life has been very hectic. One of my very best friends Jessi asked me last week if I would be the photographer for her daughters 2nd b-day party! I was sooo excited for 2 reasons!!!! 1. I have always wanted to have that " special gift" of taking that great pictures!!! My family friend Linda is an amazing photographer and she totally inspires me!!! So I went full force! I took over 180 pictures!!! Out of all the pictures I only thought 2 were "great!" Ok, they are all adorable because Jessi's daughter is too cute for words! But, I wanted to capture the moment!!!! I hope Jessi and Bobby like all the pictures and I am grateful they are patient with me getting them onto a disk for them!!! My 2nd reason I was excited was to have a moment of not thinking... My Mom has been very ill and has been in the hospital for 3 weeks. My life has been sleep/work and going to see my Mom. I was so grateful I was able on this night to see my Mom and then go to Chucky Cheese and for 2 hours think about nothing but cake, pizza and pictures! So, here is a quick snap shot of me and Jessi! I hope that things get easier for my family and my Mom gets better :)

A Moment, A Day, A WHATEVER!!!!!!

Ok, so I know my blogs are always sweet and fun loving... BUT, today NOT so much!!!! I should have know how my day was going to start???? I set the alarm for 6:30pm instead of am? I sware I triple checked that at bedtime? So, I oversleep which means NO time for the Starbucks drive through... GRRRRRR.... My cell phone has been ringing since 7:30am with work calls ( simply because I took the day off before and you know in retail time, a minute is a lost dollar!!!!) I'm driving to work and I'm planing my day ( really... how will I find time to get coffee and what's for lunch!) and I see a RADAR.... AHHHH!!!! Yes, a motorcycle cop???? ( I should have known better....same spot they always are!) I start slowing down ( I know how obvious!) and his lights turn on and I literally start to pull over. I already have the story brewing in my head... I know officer I was speeding I am SOOOO sorry!!! Then, next thingI know he pulled the car behind me over!!!! PHEW... I escaped! I remain cautious!!! I start with all of my appointments and start to get things done... Then I have a moment and can't get ahold of my husband because something in life has pissed me off???? ( something very minor at the time! But, was big to me) Then I have to rush to my other store for a corporate visit and I'm running in the parking lot and drop my new iphone... GRRRRR again!!!! I recoup.... put some lipstick on and smile :) I get through the hour with a smile and a headache! Ok, it's time to gooo home!!!! I decided lets try something new on the way home... try a different street!!!! I did and daydreamed and totally missd my turn!!!! I get home... The dog ATE my new nail file... GRRRR.... I want Baja Fresh for dinner but don't feel like drivng... so I go somewhere else... and I thought I liked it, BUT I so did not... Being disappointed with food when your hungry SUCKS!!!!!
So, here I ma venting... Hoping that other people have days like this and then realize... oh well, it's life!!!! So, tomorrow is a new day!
I am posting a picture of me in Hawaii where I want to be and need to be!!!! A vacation is coming soon... Not to Hawaii, but definitely a spa day will do for me:)

Holidays are such a Whirlwind!!!

Ok, so it's now the second day of 2009 and here I am finally having a chance to update my Christmas blog!!! I feel like Thanksgiving was just yesterday... but then I blinked and literally New Years was here!!! Christmas was great at the Quinces... we started the day opening our gifts with each other in the morning and then moved onto my parents house and then to Ronnie's parents house... oh wait.... and back to my parents house for dinner!!!! I think this explains why I am so tired during the holidays!!! Oh and now I'm sick too!!
Christmas is my all time favorite time of the year, the decorating, the baking, the holiday parties and of course the SHOPPING!!! But, this year was just sooo much more hectic then ever??? I seriously decorated my tree so last minute and didn't even put up every decoration I have for the tree and the house. But, I still loved coming home and the tree lights would be the only lights on in the house and I would sit for a minute and think about how grateful I am for everything...But, then back to reality!!!!
Overall, we had a great Christmas and New Years! I got Ronnie a Wii and he got me a new camera!! Although we both had our "bratty" moments of " oh, this is a nice camera but it's not the one I wanted!!!" ( really, I have NO need for the professional photographer camera I was asking for!!!) and his moments of " I love my Wii, but I would love a new golf club!" Then we realized how selfish we were and remembered how LUCKY we are!!!!
And here we are in 2009! We love New years day as we got engaged 3 years ago on New Years Day! So, here's to great pictures with my new camera, some exercise with the new Wii and hopefully allot of LOVE, JOY and HAPPINESS for 2009!!!
